Crassula Capitella or Campfire Crassula derives the name Crassula from the Latin word “Crassus” which means ‘thick’. This is referring to the size of the chubby leaves. The word Capitella relates to a specific epithet drawn from the Latin word “Capitellum” which translated means ‘small head’.

Watering
“Campfire Crassula” has typical watering needs for a succulent. It’s best to use the “soak and dry” method, and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
Where to Plant
“Campfire Crassula” is not cold hardy, so if you live in a zone that gets colder than 30° F (-1.1° C), it’s best to plant this succulent in a container that can be brought indoors. It does well in full to partial sun.Plant in an area of your garden that gets 6 hours of sunlight a day.
Light: Thrives with full sun but will do fine with partial sun. You will obtain a better leaf color when the plant has full sun. In very hot locations it will need some shade in the afternoons.
Temperature: Ideal summer (65ºF/18ºC – 70ºF/21ºC).and winter (50ºF/10ºC).
Soil: Needs well-drained soil but is fine with any pH level. It does best with a slightly acidic soil with a pH of around 6.0.
