About Money Plant

The botanical name of Money Plant is Epipremnum aureum. Green Money Plant has large, glossy, green heart-shaped leaves that can brighten any indoor space. This plant is the ideal plant for offices, shopping centers, hotels and other public areas as they are easy to maintain in low light and are efficient at removing indoor pollutants. NASA places this plant among the top 3 houseplants which are great for removing formaldehyde and carbon monoxide and increasing general indoor air quality.

Planting And Care

Sunlight

• Natural indirect / artificial bright light is ideal for money plant growth.

Soil

• The soil should be well drained and fertile, rich in organic content.

Watering

• Poke your finger/plain small stick into the soil to check the moisture.
• Also apply 1 cup (Approx. 50 ml) water when the top soil (1-2 inch) in pot feels dry to touch.
• In Addition apply water probably in the morning or evening time.
• Do not overwater the plant.
• Lastly as a rule of thumb, water the money plant thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy season.

Application of Fertilizer

• Before application of fertilizer loosen the topsoil without disturbing the roots of the plant so it can uptake the nutrients and moisture.
• Besides during the main growing season (Feb-May, July-Sept.) feed the plant with organic fertilizer once a month.
• Lastly apply water immediately after application of fertilizer.

Plant Protection

• Remove dead, infected or damaged plant parts and discard them away from the money plant.
• For any insect attack or disease, you can use Neem oil, Eucalyptus oil or Citrus oil spray for primary treatment.

Don’ts

• Do not over water the plant especially when pot does not have drainage holes.
• keep away from the AC Vents.

Money Plant Care

Initial care for 1-2 weeks after receiving plant at your location:

• Keep the plant in Natural indirect /Artificial bright Light.
• In Addition poke your finger/plain small stick into the soil to check the moisture.
• Moreover apply 1 cup (Approx. 50 ml) water when top soil (1-2 inches) feels dry to touch.
• Lastly do not re-pot for min. 2 weeks after receiving it.
