Description of Sempervivum ‘Royanum’

Sempervivum ‘Royanum’  is an evergreen succulent . It has creeping growth habit, which forms rosettes of 15 cm in diameter of yellowish-green leaves and red tips. They emit reddish-purple flowers in the shape of a star that holds hairy and vertical stems up to 50 cm long flat on the ends.  Rosettes die after flowering but are replaced by new lateral rosettes. They are perfect for outdoor cultivation, both in planters and on rockery in almost all climates. It is very resistant to low temperatures .

It has the typical irrigation needs of succulents. Furthermore it is advisable to plant it in an area that receives at least 6 hours of sunshine daily. They also grows well with partial sun. Better to plant  it outdoors in areas of soil that you want to cover, as it will spread quickly on the ground . Each rosette will throw up to 4 children.
