The radish (Raphanus sativus) is an edible root vegetable. This giant white radish grows up to 2 feet long. This variety is white and crispy, with a mildly sweet flavor. It is a flowering plant in the mustard family, Brassicaceae. It’s large taproot is commonly used as a root vegetable, although the entire plant is edible and its leaves are sometimes used as a leaf vegetable.
