About the Plant
Sawani meaning the rainy season flowers. The bark is thin and about 2mm. thick, smooth, pinkish-gray and mottled, shedding each year. Leaves also shed each winter, after spectacular color display, and bare branches re-leaf early in the spring; leaves are small, smooth-edged, circular or oval-shaped, and dark green changing to yellow and orange and red in autumn. This plant is easily transplanted and is drought and alkaline tolerant. Crepe Myrtle provides flowers in large clusters of red, pink, purple, mauve.

Planting And Care
Crepe flower grows very rapidly and needs pruning due to its bushy nature. Also pruning increases air circulation in plant required for good growth.
Plant Care
It is a bushy nature plant, the large-sized container is preferable as the plant gets heavy with the time. You may need to re-pot it every year. Regardless of size, make sure container has drainage holes at the bottom to ensure smooth drainage of water. Put stone or brick pieces on the holes.
